A collection of projects that are either final assignments for BA/MSc courses or with external organisations. These are projects that I did by myself or have provided substantial contributions towards its completion.
These projects predated the website - I was only in the third year of undergraduate studies at University of Toronto!
A white paper proposing for a city-wide food rescue system, connecting food establishments and the food-insecure population.
An ArcGIS StoryMap exploring the distribution and accessibility of blue spaces in Toronto. This article would be migrated away from ArcGIS database and into my GitHub database in the near future (pending development of Dissertation Diary!)
In my final year of undergraduate studies, I joined the School of Cities as a Mapping and GIS Research Assistant. Thus I started to execute projects under the organisation, on top of my final assignments for the fourth-year courses.
A data story that takes stock of accessory dwelling unit (ADU) policies and development trends across Canadian cities up until 2023.
A spatial analysis of how the Ontario Line would improve transit accessibility in the Moss Park area. This is an abridged IPYNB file that contains my share of the group project, which involves generating a hypothetical GTFS schedule for the Ontario Line based on available information and then running quick spatial analysis to show the 'After' scenario for Moss Park.
A two-article blog that examines transport equity and mobility justice in North Jakarta, Indonesia, with a deep dive into two urban slum areas and its connectivity to the rest of the capital. Produced with Hasna Hafidzah, check out her works!
This website only went live in this year - as I wrap up my undergraduate studies and involvement at the School of Cities before hopping over the Atlantic for my postgraduate studies.
A design portfolio documenting my contributions to the project that eventually focused on repurposing spaces under flyovers, as part of the requirements for IMUCP.
An interactive web map visualising motor vehicle collision data across Toronto, as part of the second assignment for this course!
For the final assignment of this course, I joined Caroline Nee and Polina Gorn to develop a web map of food assistance programs across Peel Region, Canada, and their accessibility for Nucleus, a non-profit organisation that assists seniors in independent living.
An interactive data visualisation exploring commuting patterns across the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region based on the 2022/2023 Transportation Tomorrow Survey.
A data story examining the geographic and sectoral impacts of US tariffs on Canadian trade and communities at the level of Aggregated Dissemination Areas and Census Subdivisions.
Moved to London, United Kingdom, for postgraduate studies. Went through a fairly steep learning curve as I picked up R on top of further refining my Python, so projects across this year will be updated when I have time, once again pending development of Dissertation Diary!
Initially a submission for an MSc course where I was first introduced to simple regressions analysis, I pitched it as a guest article for the School of Cities since it is a continuation of the ADU project (see 2024!).
