Hi! I am currently a fourth-year undergraduate student of the University of Toronto, majoring in Urban Studies and Human Geography.
While I was not expecting to learn programming or web development four years ago, my path in learning GIS has opened doors I never thought possible.
This page's primary purpose is for the first lab assignment for GGR472: Developing Web Maps, where I coded a GeoJSON file of the places that I have ordered from UberEats in November 2024.
Have you eaten at, or ordered from, any of these places?
Wow, we share very similar tastes! Would you like to go out for dinner with me at any of these places?
Maybe you should check out the menu of the following places, and then we can go out for dinner together sometime?
Magical Taste of China
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
Zabardast Hyderabadi Biryani
Habibz Corner
Indian Biriyani House
Salad King
ChickQueen
Scotty Bons Caribbean Grill
ThaiRoomGrand
12 Spices
Notwithstanding that, I also intend to make this as a humble repository of all the works that I have done in the past related to human geography, mapping and GIS.
They are categorised into two:
Past Works: Major works that are for course final assignments or where I personally consider to have made a major contribution (such as data cleaning)
Other Maps and Visualisations Created: I only made one or a few visualisations, with the major work being done by others
In the future (mid 2025), I hope to be able to push two pet projects of mine:
An analysis of improvements to Singapore's public bus system
A page mapping out what I have learnt thus far in Arabic, Russian and Korean (Not related to mapping or GIS whatsoever, I just want to consolidate what I have learnt across all three languages)
